Yle Sápmi, Radio Journalist & Language Trainee, 2024–Present

– Radio Insert Production (Binna Bánna): responsible for scriptwriting, recording, and editing regular inserts for the Sámi children’s radio program. My radio inserts are featured as part of the program on a bi-weekly basis. (Leave of absence due to parental leave, April–May 2026).
– News & Current Affairs: produced news content in Northern Sámi and Finnish during three intensive language trainee periods (2024–2025). Independently developed news stories and wrote digital articles (e.g., on Sámi vegetarian food and electric cars), while also assisting with radio and TV interviews.

Freelance Journalist, 8/2012–Present

– Dieđagáldu Podcast: Developing Dieđagáldu, a Northern Sámi podcast and blog making science accessible. After piloting the podcast in spring 2026, I secured A Finnish Cultural Foundation grant to complete the project upon returning from parental leave.
– Inarilainen Newspaper: articles, columns, and photography for the local newspaper.
– Other work includes e.g., Anna magazine: featured article awarded “best article of the Issue.”
